I'm so sad that they cancelled this series, it had a refreshing new type of humour. I liked it a lot (you can say that I was practically addicted) and, let's face it, Chloe is awesome! The only thing I regret is not watching Season 2 in the right order (the order in which was aired wasn't the correct), but I'm going to re-watch it, so I guess it will be remedied.

I recommend it and I'm sure you'll have tons of fun (I did!).

Slutty Performances

Okay now, that's depressing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that because it is Miley, no, I'm saying that because I'm completely astonish on how futile and over-sexualized society is becoming. I just used this example because it came across my screen today, but mostly of the other music stars we are accustomed to see have this behavior too. 

Personally, I am all in favor of sex no longer being a taboo, but I also think that there's no need to have a society focused on that. We are constantly overwhelmed with sexual images and messages, and what we get is that sex and being sexy is all that matters. I think that shows how messed up are our priorities: yes, it is important to have sex, not only we can continue as a species as it's also a pleasant activity, but we cannot evolve if we are focused on that! Where is the importance of critical thinking, scientific recognition, charity and solidarity, among many others? We have already so many problems, and I don't think sex alone is going to solve them.

In my opinion we should really start to get our priorities straight.

A pior fanfic de sempre

Estive a ler a que é considerada a pior fanfic de sempre: My Immortal. E... De facto... É horrível! Consegue ser tão má, tão má, tão má, que não parava de rir. Cheguei à conclusão que, de tão má que é, é genial! Foi obra de algum génio a trollar o fandom do Harry Potter. Só pode!

Além de doer a vista de tantos erros ortográficos, má construção frásica, pontuação mal colocada, é também um cross-over gigante, pois aparecem bandas como My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte, Green Day, e também personagens como Darth Vader, Spock, Frank Sinatra, entre outros. É algo digno de se ler quando se quer rir às gargalhadas. 

Como fã de Harry Potter sinto-me um pouco insultada com o que ela faz às personagens e como não sabe nada acerca delas e desse mundo, mas como pessoa e ser humano, perdoo, porque passei um bom bocado (hilariante!) a ler a fanfic.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green

Gostei imenso deste filme! Geralmente sou fã dos filmes da Disney que apesar de serem um pouco previsíveis e cliché, são também bastante agradáveis. Considero que, dado que a vida em si muitas vezes já é difícil, cheia de desilusões e finais infelizes, é bom que haja algo que nos levante o espírito e permita sonhar com algo melhor. Parece um pouco "cheesy" eu sei, mas já me disseram várias vezes que eu sou mesmo assim.

Achei especialmente interessante neste filme a quantidade de lições que tenta ensinar: é normal cometer erros, o importante é aprender com eles; aprender também com os erros dos outros e não os cometer; perceber que as aparências iludem; a influência que os pais têm nos filhos reflectem-se na sua postura para com a vida e personalidade futura; entre outros. Penso que é um bom filme para ver em família e é inevitável (pelo menos da minha parte foi) caírem umas lágrimas.

Adorei a banda sonora, achei que estava muito bem adequada ao filme. Também gostei da iluminação e das paisagens, eram muito bonitas. Resumindo, aconselho a ver.

Firefly

Acabei hoje de ver esta série. Sim, eu já sabia que tinha sido cancelada. Sim, já me tinham dito que era espectacular e que não devia começar a ver porque ia ficar muito chateada por a terem cancelado. Eu sei. Mas eu optei por ver na mesma, porque se é assim tão boa, há de valer a pena. E esse foi o problema: valeu! Achei que estava muito bem construída e tinha vários pontos de interesse, várias histórias interessantes nas quais eu queria saber mais.

Olá antes de mais :)

Tecnicamente só criei esta mensagem de boas vindas para poder visualizar o blog e modificá-lo um pouco. Gostaria de ter tempo para fazer um layout decente, mas não só os meus exames não o permitem, como não uso html à muito tempo (o que envolve ter de ir rever  tudo).

Sinceramente não sei ao certo porque criei o blog, se foi para opiniões esporádicas, partilhar gostos, seguir outros blogs ou simplesmente para dizer que estou aqui. Penso que vou descobrindo à medida que o vou usando.

Se quiseres ficar por aí e descobrir também, estás à vontade!
